Ongoing Events
Blessed Movements class at Yoga Barn, Issaquah, WA
  • Every 1st and 3rd Sundays of the month, 8:30-10am. We begin with a gentle yoga asana practice to loosen the body, quiet the mind, soften the heart, and reconnect with the spirit through the breath. Then we read and meditate on a Psalm then move prayerfully with the words from the Psalm. We end with a sitting meditation reflecting on the Psalm and how it relates to us and what its message for us that day.

Flow Yoga, and Meditation Session, at Northshore YMCA, Bothell, WA.
  • Every Tuesday, 7:15-8:25pm, Flow yoga class. Thoughtful, safe, breath-coordinated fluid movements to prepare the body, mind, and breath for relaxation and meditation.
  • Every Tuesday, after the yoga class, 8:30-9pm, Meditation for beginners. This session is divided into 3 sections: 10 minutes of silence with your personal, preferred meditation practice; 10 minutes of moving meditation, whether walking or moving with the breath; 10 minutes of lovingkindness meditation where we spread love, peace and joy throughout the planet.
Past Events
Hospitality: The Annunciation and The Visitation  The Advent season reminds us of our God's all embracing hospitality. Mary and Elizabeth model for us what it means truly to live out of sharing God's hospitality with one another. Through Lectio Divina we listened to our hearts to discover how we might make hospitality a spiritual practice. We experienced body and breath prayers relating to the Annunciation and Visitation. It was a refreshing day of heart and body listening. St Placid Priory, Lacey, WA, December 9, 2006

Lilies of the Field: Dealing with fear and anxiety  Using body movements to go with Sacred Texts, breath prayers, and lectio Divina (Sacred Reading) we looked into and contemplated on Jesus' teachings that helped us deal with our fears and anxiety. There was time for silent reflections, journaling, contemplation and group sharing. St Placid Priory, Lacey, WA, November 11, 2006

Meditation 24/7 We explored different meditation techniques from both eastern and western traditions and experienced those that are easily applicable to daily situations.
